Sky Broadband – the ONLY broadband that’s truely unlimited

I heard this out a while back but I didn’t really think to post about it.

Anyway, according to Channel Five’s (UK) The Gadget Show, Sky.com is the only company in the UK that provides truelly unlimited broadband. On their full maxed out package, they recently removed their fair use policy and have told The Gadget Show that there is no cap whatsoever. Hopefully, this will persuade other companies to make their broadband fully unlimited.

So, if you’re looking for a full on broadband for all your download needs – head for Sky.com’s MAX package.

I myself have never needed full on broadband – I would’nt have thought I download more than 20GB a month on a busy month. Generally I suspect I download about 10GB a month, depending on where I am.

WordPress 2.7 Beta 2 Out Now

The WordPress Developement have released beta 2 of WordPress 2.7 with a long list of updates and bug fixes.

I’m not going to test it on my server because I don’t think there’s a huge amount of updates from a visual perspective.

Anyhow, if you want to see what’s been done, head over to http://wordpress.org/development/2008/11/wordpress-27-beta-2/

You can also grab a copy there or from your Admin itself.

Don’t forget the final release is due on the 10th 🙂

Enjoy!

The illegal file sharers

France looks like the first country to take final action on the illegal file sharers.

It looks like they are taking plans to cut off illegal internet file sharers after sending warning emails and letters. The law is now in place for final approval.

The plan means that there will be “community watchdogs” who will monitor users for illegal usage.

The idea is that these “watchdogs” will send two warnings out to the user to warn them that they will loose their connection if the continue. If they fail to react to the warnings, their connection is terminated altogether.

In my opinion, I don’t think it’s fair to have someone watching your internet access.

What do you think?
